Medium Term Accomodation

Medium Term Accommodation - NDIS Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) provides temporary, fully furnished housing for NDIS participants who are waiting for their permanent home or long-term support arrangements to become available. It is designed to support individuals who may be transitioning out of hospital, out-of-home care, or unsafe living environments, or those waiting for home modifications or Supported Independent Living (SIL) to commence.

MTA is funded through the Core Supports budget of a participant’s NDIS plan and can be approved for up to 90 days. While the funding covers accommodation costs such as rent, utilities, and basic furnishings, it does not include daily support services like personal care or in-home assistance — these must be funded separately. MTA offers a safe, stable interim solution, helping participants maintain continuity of care while preparing for more permanent housing.
